1. The first inference is very good; it proves the point very well.
2. For the second, I would day that it isn't exactly manipulation, at least the second part of the quote; the first part is good though.
3. She isn't being talkative so much as explaining an example; she does go on and on in the prologue though.
4. She isn't confident so much as remorseless; she marries without so much as a mourning period.
5. This quote is a good example of her feminist nature.
6. Sure of her ideas is a bit unwieldy, maybe use confident?
